Read it here.
I know it’s been forever since I wrote a proper blog post, but my life has been both so chaotic and peaceful at the same time that I won’t even begin to get into it.
To make a long story short: I decided not to get the surgery, I reconnected with someone from the distant past who means very much to me, and I’ve started school for . . . Well, I don’t want to tell you that. Something cool, that’s all you need to know.
I did finally find time to write a poem, so you can read it here: Glass Elevators Beyond the Lake of Fire
Obviously, the title is a bit of a homage to the old Meat Puppets song. (It’s not by Nirvana, damn it.) I’ve been listening to a lot of music from that time lately, but I wanted to take a while to capture some thoughts at this very rare and radiant moment in time.
I hope to start writing full stories again soon. I got a really awesome idea, staring at the moon out the window in the dead of night, in the middle of nowhere . . . And I don’t want to let the mood or idea slip away. But for now, it’s time to live. To experience. To feel again.
I can’t think of anything better to end this with, so “Thank you for being a part of our literature club.”
